About Us

The Community Farm is a not-for-profit, social enterprise overlooking the gorgeous Chew Valley Lake just outside Bristol and Bath.

Our mission is to get more people enjoying the benefits of a better food system so that community and nature thrive together.

At our heart, we are an organic farm aiming to grow community alongside food. Every year we welcome more than 1,500 people onto the land for events, courses, and volunteering.

We share the food we have grown with community and nature, as well as food we have sourced from a network of other farmers and producers who share our values, including more than 30 producers in the South West. Every week we deliver to hundreds of households throughout Bristol, Bath and The Chew Valley.

We welcome everyone in the local area to join our community, either through sharing time on the land with us or through enjoying the freshly-grown, organic produce we have grown with community and nature.

We are always looking for funding to keep the farm growing. If you would like to support us, please donate here.

The Farm

The farm is based in Chew Magna, overlooking the beautiful Chew Valley Lake. We currently farm on 8.3 acres with the whole site extending to 15 acres. We are happy to be farming on Grade 1 agricultural land, which means we have a fantastic sandy loam soil that allows us to grow a huge variety of crops.
